They changed the slimey colour, which I don't like.
The original slimey flick baits were translucent green/translucent yellow and now they're translucent green/silver, the black stripes have changed too.
last time i looked they had 6 different colours 4 sizes

Last summer was fishing for yakkas at the hawkesbury we were getting small snapper every drop then i was pulling 1 in and i feel alot of weight on the line i thought i might have hooked onto one of those jellyfish i get it to the top and its a 80cm flatty and even when he saw the boat he didn't want to let go and we were lucky enough to net him

if you want to spend your best bet is the maged avet lx 2 speed ,over 400 mters of 30 lbs mono ,can cast over 100 mts if you can cast ,it will also be good as a live bait reel ,as well as a bottom bash reel , trolling reel, you will not go wrong with a maged avet ,about 560 australian dollars to your door from the usa
hi customcasting i have an avet rapter sx do u know of anywhere i can get the magnets, cups and washers for it or better yet where i can get it magged
Thanks Ash

Hello All,
well after bagging my first Jew not long ago it was time to make
some effort to understand how things have started to come together.
A bit of reading some old articles and checking the tides and the
like and it was time to have another go.
Same again, recently caught squid on a two hook rig and landbased
at a good spot. Only difference this time was the opposite tide and
in broad daylight to offset when I can fish with the missus/kids
not home.
Within five minutes a pretty solid hit but no hookup. Last bait
prepped and out for no longer than ten for a good hit and come up
tight. Now this spot is pretty hectic as last reported with many
possible snags so the drag is up and am into him. He nearly had me
around a pylon but soon enough have him up and in safe hands.
My second Jew ever and it went 3kg and 70cm, a bit smaller than the
first in weight being not as plump - but very happy none the less.
I have managed to strike up a good deal with one of the neighbours
I regularly sling fish to - she cleans and fillets while I wash my
gear. Everyone is happy, she is Greek so no waste with fillets for
all and a fish head soup later in the week.
Hi nice catch mate wish i could have your luck and get my first legal jewie also what size stella is that and what rod do u hav it matched up to

Just wondering what raiders think of the daiwa saltist 30H im looking at getting one to use of the beach and rocks targeting salmon, tailor, bonito, kings and jewies. Is this reel good for the surf and off the rocks how does it cast and whats the drag pressure like on these reels. Ive also been looking at the daiwa sensor surf rods does anyone know if there any good.
Thanks in advance

gday
ive been hitting norah head rocks after drummer the last couple of days and ive been hooking some beauties , but for the life of me i cant get the bloody things up , ive had about 6 good hookups so far and i havent landed one fish , yesterday i was up there hooked a good one and pulled as hard as i could trying to get this thing to surface my rod was at breaking point .......im using a 12 ft beach rod and shimano big egg beater reel with 15 pound mono line im guessing this is not the right gear for these huge fighters.........so my question is whats the best rod and reel for drummer and line i want to land one of these big suckers
cheers steve
Are you sure there drummer steve could be some big groper ive hooked up to them myself at norah head good luck in the future you should be able to land a drummer on the gear your using just keep at it
