Sounds like a whole lot of a fuss over a lure to me
Sorry boys I thought it was a case of real long arm syndrome
Going back over the photos now boys to check . LOL
Seriously well done guys
Let the rest of these guys crack the code themselves heh, isn't that fishing anyway?
Cheers boys
Ps let's get to musgrave you two
-
Hds5 is a combo sounder and plotter
Hds5x is just a sounder
Hds5m is just a plotter
Hope this helps
Cheers

Just my two bobs worth
6 years ago at browns we hooked a massive mako, it jumped really high that's how we know what it was
Without it jumping the fight sounds very similar to your fight. Ours stayed high in the water then emptied a Penn inter 50 straight down this shark was BIG
Still to this day and after capturing two blue marlin on my boat one over 100kg the other over 200kg .This mako fight was the hardest fight ive ever had the pleasure of witnessing
After emptying the spool we went to sunset and stopped it but this shark had the speed of a blue marlin with the never say die attitude of a big fin
fortunatly or not the hooks pulled after 1.25hrs maybe 50m from the boat
fish was hooked and fought on 80lb short leader and mustard 8[0 tuna circle definatly not shark gear
without the jumps i would have called it for a 100kg plus fin
just my story not saying what u guys encounted was a shark or not.
would have loved to be on board not many people get to see such power from something that swims.

even though the photos dont do this fish any favours
it went 47 fork
this bream was from porto bay racks in the hawksbery
its a pb for me and came on a minnow grub gulp
the week before i got a 45 fork smashing my pb and when i netted this fish i thought id got the magic
50 fork ive been chasing
the fish would have smashed its way into the 2kg club and personely after seeing scott towner way his
40 fork 1.87kgat the 4wd and fishing show estimate this fish to be 2.5 -2.6 kg
i didnt have a camera on board and was alone so i brought her home for the photos
then realesed her into terrigal lagon

mate things can change overnight
we went up in feb
leading up it was crap but the fishing was good when we were there
and then a week later it was crap again
dont be put off mate just fish for wat is biting
focus on the fish that like those conditions
you need to flexible and have enough gear to cover a few bases
-
well done boys
your first stickface is getting closer
-
just my opinion and observation
side imaging you probably wont use it
i know plenty of guys in the bream comps with them and they dont use them
we all want the latest and greatest
very hard to keep flicking btween screens
think hard about how you use your sounder
i use lowrance love the simplicity details great
no good having something you need a degree to use
-
please dont start out casting me greg
i couldnt cope
interesting under 7 ft seemed to be the way to go not long ago
9ft could be the bench mark and if we dont try we wont know
i think we could easily handle that lenght even is my small boat
ive seen nth coast snapper bait fishos with 4 /12 ft rods out the back
believe it or not
greg your choice of tackle makes me sick
you suck
good point for all you guys buy your tackle here and you wont have a problem with warranty or maitenace
daiwa australia will not help you if you purchased your gear o/s and with good reason
not long ago people were saying my 8 ft sol rod was to long
ha ha ha
TOTAL PORN.....
Rod rated at 8 - 16lb, For use on Reds and Kings. Cant wait to get it christeded this weekend on a Red.
sorry i thought bent butts were for game fishing
lol
those japs are into some weid s--t
bet it fishes great
hope it brings you lots of red
cheers
-
well done boys
let many more stick faces come your way
big fish small boats even smaller crew
thats what dreams are made of
-
firstly id like to start by saying a massive thanks to greg for the trip
the boat guys is amazing ive been on heaps of good boats and this smashes anything ive been on
that includes some custom made game boats
ive been on several haines formulas which are meant to be class leading rides
this thing makes them feel very very ordinary
shame about the fishing up there but these things happen
lets hope things get better soon
again thanks alot greg had a great time and still not coping

has anyone heard how the raiders went at swr this week just gone
-
hi raiders
Just got back from an awsome trip to swr
first trip there wat a place
firstly any one planning a trip there needs to be very carefull the bar is now at its worst
this is wat the locals were saying
two boats lost on the saturday
anyway to get to the good part the fishing man this place is firing
saturday afternoon we had six bites for four good runs and one nice kobes at about 40lbs
sunday out we went early and after an hour of bait catching we put the baits in
no luck trolling for kobes in the baits come
600m out the baits go back in and 10 mins later the short cnr howls im on the rod
the lever goes up and nothing damn
we troll through the pack and on our second pass the long cnr screams
action peter is on and a fiesty little black breaks the surface 3m from another boat
close to 50 jumps later i grab the leader on the little 50 kg black and pull the hook out and let her go
peter s first and his stocked
back in goes the baits 40 mins later the deep bait howls and were on again
im up and 100 m of line later i go to work on an unknown
10 mins late a hammerhead of about 80 kgs cruises into view
paul grabs the leader and cuts it off
that wiil do us for the day and we leave for home just before lunch
-
im heading up there on friday as well
cant wait
if anyone heres anything about the fishing this week it would be more than welcome
cheers
