  1. Thats an awesome haul mate. What did the damage? Monday arvo i armed my self for a jew session in the georges was thinking it was perfect weather was planning to fish the narrow channel at jewfish point unfortunately someone did the old - + on the battery and blew the fuse under the cowling. SPEWING.

  2. Hey all,

It seems that the pelegics are not coming into the harbour as much as the previous months.

I was just wondering what type of fish I should be targeting lb during this time of the year.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Cheers

    Hey mate

This time of the year there would be some of the larger pelegics still hanging around so i would still be definately be targetting them. Bream are thick in the harbour ATM. fish light sinkers as the smallest bites are usually nice size bream. I find this time off the year is still pretty good fishing as the pressure is hanging around the 1020 more often which usually puts the fish on the bite and the water temp is still above 20 degrees. The end of the run in and start of the run out tide is fishing good ATM. Fish fresh bait. Im fishing by boat but im presuming around blues point and the peirs in the harbour by land should fish ok especially this week as we have great tides for fishing. Good luck mate.

    Cheers

  3. Saturday Morning in the harbour was a nice sight sun rising over the harbour no wind and blue water not much more you could ask for.

Was out chasing bream on my new outfit that everyone has laughs at little 4 ft 1-3 kg stick with penn 2000 with 4 pound braid 6 pound leader. I love fishing with this combo because of its versatility. Not fun when you hook something unstoppable rists feel like there gonna snap. Anyhow fishing around some structure in middle harbour got accouple of bream. My PB 38cm that i called for a jewie as i have never hooked a bream that actually ripped drag violently for 15 metres on two occasions which really suprised me. The kingy took a live squid that i had drifting out the back in 4 metres of reefy water. it reefed me where it fealt like it just lodge itself in the reef and i couldnt pull it out so i just opened the bail arm so i wouldnt have gotten busted off and it worked!!

    cheers

  4. Mate just check sea breeze make sure you are aware of the swell and so fourth.

Bellambie can fire up for big snapper try locating the reefs on your sounder and do accouple drifts over the patch with plastics.

    Cheers

  5. I posted not long ago that the harbour was unusually quite since the big rains...

My theory is that since we had the big rain for accouple weeks its stirred up the water and released all these toxins and thats why its been quite lately. Its just taken time to affect the fish. Arghh im so pissed off now how they dont notice people of these things. Fair enough they have advised its not safe to eat fish from those areas but when u get a spike in toxins like this it should make headlines so people are notified.

  6. Hi Mate,

I venture out into the harbour atleast once a week (By boat) and i usually get atleast 10 bream and whiting and the odd jewy in the right conditions. since the rain started ive ventured out about 3 times since and it shocked me how much it has slowed down i have caught accouple nice fish including a jew but nothing like it has been in the past. Im guessing the rain has affected the fish because im still using the same methods.

    Cheers

  7. You are correct mate.

Jewie territory all over there. theres accouple of big holes just west of the bridge 15m to 30m were i have pulled out jews from. some times just drifting around structure targetting bream and whiting i snag a jew.

    Cheers
