Martin
A bit embarrassing to post a report about ZERO, At long last I had a chance to take the boat out for a fish and being that time of year and not fishing the Interclub at Port Stephens I thought a day chasing Marlin was in order. So on Friday night I selected my favourite lures, sharpened the hooks, put new doubled on the rods ready for Saturday. This was also to be the first time where it would be only Matthew my 8 year old son and I would venture out together. To get to the chase we stoped for some live bait but without luck. Headed east for a few hours then north for an hour and as the wind picked up we then headed home without turning a reel. Now that gives you the poops!!! Spent the rest of the day what was left of it for a drift or two in the Hawkesbury for another nil result. All up disappointing to come home with out a fish, however all was not lost as I stopped in at the fish markets on Friday and had bought some fresh squid for bait. I ended up cooking salt and pepper squid for dinner on Sunday night. Cheers
