TunOFun
Just a quick report. Headed out of Botany yesterday with crazedfisherdude and rus_cb. The plan was to have a bit of troll and see if we could locate the kings. Day started off slowly with first strike being a frigate. Trolled around for a while for nothin. Decided to give another spot a try which has produced in the past. Got about 100 metres away and came across a bouy, detoured past it and hooked up on the first king of the trip. Trolled my spot for nothing then came back past the bouy, on again, another kingy. Tried the bouy a few more times but the fish had wised up. Headed back towards home and came across a scholl of frigates. Picked up another 4 with a few dropped. Came back into the bay once the wind picked up. Rus managed a nice 57cm duskie before we called it quits. Hoping to head to the FAD tomorrow, will keep you all posted. Rus has the photos and will add them next Monday when he returns to WA Cheers. PS. Frigates were full of white bait, so use small lures to match the hatch Edited March 2, 2006 by TunOFun
Sharky
Good to hear theres still a few about. With all the schools of small pelagics about there has to be some big ones around. Lets hope everything goes to plan Friday at the fad. Has anyone had any luck jigging around the fads lately?
