East Reef 11/3

G'day Raiders

We visited East Reef early and drifted back into BB.

By 9.30 am (launched in the dark) we had boated:-

1 X small Dolphin Fish -using large bait jigs. (a First)

3 X Kings ( 1 Keeper) - using Squid

1 X School Jew. - on Squid.

Had to leave the action due to crew getting sick.

Anyhow, BB could be firing up later this year..

East reef was like a car park yesterday

G'day Raiders.

EAST REEF : East Reef 33.32.900 S 151 23 880 E

Closet Ramps - Parsley Bay / Apple Tree Bay if from Syd.

Jig used - Metal , Blue / Silver Colour 80g - made in Japan. Many Brands now available.Large Hook on the top, ( I have added a treble to the bottom..bad Habit)

Method: Ideally use braid (9~15kg) on a quality overhead reel, drop the jig to the bottom, bounce it on the bottom a few times...then crank it up like mad.. and hang on!!

No east reef is not terrigal wide. Far from it. East reef is huge and there are many marks for various areas .

The closest ramp is patonga/ brisbane waters.

A great reef that goes for miles. No doubt holding big kings, just not very closeas its gets flogged..
