jay power
hi all had a fish today down on foreshore drive in botany bay.went armed with only SPs.had a few hits but nothing to brag about.what caught my eye was the fish that were swimming in very close to shore .i wasnt to sure at first what it was, they kept comming in very close bailing up some very small baitfish.after a while i could make out wat they could of been.they were mackrel tuna i think.they were at least 30-35cms long from above they had a blue to green clour and silver on the bottom.from side on you could see them better, you could see the stripes on the end of them. they were bailing the tiny bait fish up in water no deeper than 20 cms,at times vertually on the shore line. threw some SPs at them but they werent interested.they werent in great numbers usually 2-3 cruising by at a time ,but they were around for a while.i fished from 1030am-2.30pm.
