I've fished bar point ,juno, flint and steel, road bridge,gunyah,milson island,rail bridge,cowan, berowra and other jewie haunts fishing 80 lbs hand line rods spooled with 40 lbs 10/0 gamakatsu using slimies, mullet ,yakka's ,squid, live and whole dead baits butterflyed. fishing both daylight hours and all nighters im just wondering if other people are finding it slow this year as i usually fish sydney harbour and am quite new to the hawkesbury Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The only advice I can give (and this is second-hand as I rarely get to fish for jewies in the Hawkesbury) is to refine the way that you fish the holes. Remember to look for eddies, jewie-holding structure, and most importantly don't fish the bottom of the hole - fish the leading edge.
