outdoordan Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 (edited) Plans were made to meet Swordie at the famous Chipping Norton lakes for an afternoon lure session. After taking a bit of time off work, I was down at the ramp at 1pm. We launched the Poly, and within a couple of hundred metres of the boat ramp the leccy was in and casting comenced. The hits came pretty quickly for the first half hour or so, which accounted for 2 small Bream and Swordie pulled a Whiting about as long as your hand is wide. We kept casting for the next hour or so, but things were pretty quiet, We managed one more Bream, but then moved on. We met a Bloke though, whom we got talking to, he was chasing a few bream on SP's but to no avail, Swordie offered him some advice as he didnt know the area well and wasted no time trying to recruit him to this great site (its no wonder there are so many members, when we have such helpfull and freindly moderators, Hats off to you mate). We then moved up steam, casting at the banks and any likely looking structure. The wind was quite servere at times which made casting with precision difficult, but we managed. We got a few more hits here and there but things seemed pretty quiet, But just as i was falling into my false sense of security my little SX got creamed. Soon boated was a bream of 30cms(pic to Be posted) which was a very welcome surprise. We eventually made our way to the wier were things began to pick up, Hoping to pick up an EP we flicked into any promising structure, and managed a few more Bream. As the sun got lower the wind died down and the hits started picking up. We boated a few more, but then had to make tracks to avoid being locked in the carpark, so we left them biting. All in all it was another top day, with close to 20 fish boated with about half a dozen legals, good conversation with a great skipper. Thanks alot Swordie. Shane Any day on the water is better than working, unfortunatly i dont get paid to fish though. Sharky, I assure you if we saw any jews on the sounder, we'd be flicking a few plastics around for them. I'm still trying to break my jew virginity. Cheers Dan. P.S thanks mrsswordie for editing in the pics.
