Sharky
Hard luck buster the fad was gone for a day from what I heard so you may have fished the replacement fad so maby the Dollies were still in the process of finding it. Better luck next time mate.
JamieTurner
The Broken Bay FAD is still there, about 100m North of the GPS coordinates. We picked up a new Arvor on Wednesday from Sydney and visited the FAD while driving to Brisbane Water. It was during the middle of the day and we made only a couple of passes with small lures because of time constraints. No takers but when arriving we saw something very big crashing the surface right next to the FAD. The water temp was a tick over 22 degrees. Sharky, I have only ever fished for dollies around 6-7 times and everytime i have got to the fad i have caught straight away and ended up with at least ten dollies, only ever came back early due to sea sickness never because of lack of action. Have i just been lucky or do the dollies always congregate around a fad 24/7 during season
pekingduck
Buster, I was at the botany Bay FAD (or where is was supposed to be) at 6.30 this morning...definitely nothing there. Have they changed to co-ordinates at all or did they replace it later in the day? Trolled xmas tree lures and rapalas from Coogee to botany for naught. Ended up at 3rd runway for 6 good snapper and a few trevally. there were two huge schools of fish busting up all around us, not sure what thet were. We threw everything we had at them from bass minnows to 5gm slices to saltwater flies. Very frustrating, but a great day on the water.
