Headed up to Port Stephens for the Easter break. Weather was great and water conditions beautiful in the morning and evening.

Fished the Islands outside for some Mackeral Tuna (all released) and bottom bounced for nathin, until these little babys came on…. awesome fight with the Whaler….

Summary, nice plate of boneless fillets and a good feed of Blue Swimmers….

Regards,

Choteo.

Yeah, the Bronzie was/is nice. I immediately bled, gutted, skinned, filleted and iced it. It’s rather bland meat and you need to add your liking for taste, which works for me because I don’t like fishi taste fish… (if that makes scense). I think the secret is to get the skin and guts out ASAP….

As for the crabs, once painted RED, well what can I say….BEAUUUTIFULLLL….

Yep... Shovelnose is good stuff, no doubt about it. Especially if you have young children - no bones and easy on the digestive system, very tasty yet not to fishy... Defiantly beats fish fillets from the fish shop...!!! Who knows what you’re really getting there….???

JM
