Most General Fishs?

Can you told me what kind saltwater fishs i can get usually from beach? What kind from lakes and rivers? I mean fishs names. I dont know anything fishing in Australia and i come to there for 4-6 months next october.

Hi Jani. The most common beach fish in Sydney are tailor and Australian salmon, followed by flathead and whiting. There are also jewfish (mulloway) at night, which I think you would enjoy catching, but they are not as common as the others. In rivers (estuaries), the most common fish are bream, flathead, whiting and trevally, followed by yellowtail kingfish, jewfish, snapper, tailor and Australian salmon. Australian bass and Estuary Perch are also present as well as baitfish such as yellowtail and slimy mackeral. Most lakes carry Brown and Rainbow trout, redfin and carp. Thanks a lot. Your cods and salmons lookslike very differend that here :blink: I get couple of somekind sanappers (small) from Thailand, it is very tasty :thumbup: . But do you have some poisons fishs?? What fish is no good for handling or for eat?....My cousin sed that you can eat every fish, at least once :biggrin2:
