Guest madsmc
I don't own the VS or the Stradic, so I can't provide a performance based comparison. Price wise the VS is around $220 brand new, so $150 for a slightly used model already spooled isn't too bad, depending on how the reel has been treated/maintained. cap3
Never used them before but I have heard some pretty good things about them. Okuma has come along way in recent years with some great products. I own a small EB 20 baitcaster thats around 3 years old and has caught pretty much everything from Bream to big rays and I've never had one problem with it and its never let me down. The Okuma VS spinning reels are the Shimano Stella of the Okuma range and in my opinion are streaks ahead of the Stradic when their features are compared head to head, actually, performance wise, even my EB20 performs better than my Stradic. If I was in the market for a small spinning reel I would definitely consider the Okuma VS over the Stradic, especially if you can get one for $150 spooled with braid.
