Batemans Bay - Or Nearby

Hi folks being Canberra based its been a while since i fished the salt (or did any fishing fro that matter)

So i plan to head to the coast on sunday - prob batemans bay or somehwere nearby.

I was wondering if any raiders had any tips fro the coast round Batemans, Sectret sports or the like....??

Will be land based and olny have my SP gear so prob breaming or flatty spinning is the go. Or maybe Bass - never caught one of them.

Any thoughts much appreciated CHEERS

Hi mate ,a guy from work who has a caravan down that way was telling me the salmon are around atm and getting some nice bream in the river .No spots were mentioned

If you are heading to the bay it can be a little hard from the shore at times but throwing placcies from shore around Nelligan or up near the T wharfe at the bay work well. Gulp grubs or bass minnows seem to be the pick at this timeof year. A little further south there is some really good land based fishing in the Tuross river. You can drive down to the bridge and fish along the bank there for Bream, Flatty, RP, Salmon and jew, or you can take the last turn off before the bridge which actually looks as though you are drivin in someones property. this eventually meets up with the river and there is some great fishing to be had around there.
