Hi Guys,

Managed to break the Kingie hoodoo.

Set off from Roseville at gentlemans hours with new engine purring nicely ( bought from Dan T and fitted by mobile mechanic Hamish from Adventure Marine ) , headed to get live bait (to test new live bait tank) either squid (trying the xxxxxxxxxxx promotional squis jig )-no luck then to get yakkas no luck the westerly was stronger than BOM had predicted so we went outside to slow troll down to Bondi testing various sps etc

Trippo was my mentor and he had set up two light weight rods/gear, then we noticed the familiar sound of the line running.

I handed over the helm and managed to capture my first Kingie. Quick picture to capture the moment then back into the drink for us to catch again in the summer.

Thanks to everyone who has helped with advice Jo Cool in particular as we testing a new Garmin 72 as well (tested a few spots).

Very little sambo activity at the heads so we headed home
