Fuel Cost

Filled up today at Akuna Bay and Premium was 1.67 a litre (less 5% discount for the marina customers). Last time i filled up was about 5 weeks ago and it was $1.99, it is going the right way. Any one else filled up on the water lately? If so how much did you pay and where?

Owning a trailer boat has its advatages, i am lucky enough to fill up at the local servo where the prices have been as low as $1.16 this week, and around $1.28 for Ultimate.... Last time i was at the marina it was $1.99 a litre for regular

sorry can't answer your question, but im curious, do they offer premixed fuel with oil in it? if they do can u trust what they put in the fuel?

domza, i would be very very cautious about buying premix from a marina..... much safer and cheaper to just mix your own. the marina would move very little premix and it would be stale as old bread!

hawkesbury river marina sells it, but I never touched it when our boat was moored for the reasons sammy mentioned. But the real reason was because I have oil injection

How is it that the Marinas can get away with charging outrageous prices for their fuel? It wouldnt cost that much for transport etc. I only ever got caught short once , and had to get a top up at a marina , nearly died when I found out what they wanted !!

Ross, they have you by the bizzos, what is your choice if you have a non trailerable boat? Cart Jerry cans down to the boat? Thats a lot of Jerry cans. They know they have you and they simply exploit you to the limit of their conceptual capacity.
