Don't Bother Getting Personalised Rego

I am trying to sell my boat and it has personalised rego numbers on it. I went to Waterways today to put them on hold so I can have them on my new boat, simple, think again .

I have to cancel the registration on my current boat and either sell it unregistered or re register it for $56.20 with new numbers and provide a Stat Dec saying my old numbers have been removed from the boat and it doesn't end there .

To put my personalised numbers on my new boat I have to buy it from the dealer unregistered and register it myself and I only get the balance of rego that was left on the last boat .

The RTA aren't that bad after all .

WHAT would you expect from our great NSW government under the the Bob carr dictatership I had the same problem when I bought my new car and had to pay $40 to $50 to put my plates away then when I asked for replacement plates for my old car that cost another $30

Yet the next day when I returned the new plates to the RTAand expected my deposit back they gave me nothin so after a minute of spewing to the girl I bent the return ones in half and told them to stick it for there $30

The quicker that bloke moves to NZ the better NSW will be

I will cancel the current rego and have to re register it so the new owner gets 12 months and have my personalised rego put on hold for the new boat

You said it Wetpatch, The arrogance of Bob Carr amazes me at times. He obviously is going to NZ because because he knows full well he won't get in for a second term.
