pk-fishn
gday guys just a quick report, My Older brother and myself took my little brother out for a fish on narrabeen beach yesterday got there early and started worming. got about five worms and had some left over yabbies from a previous outing. anyway rigged up the lil ones hook he cast it out i turned around to rig my rod up and by the time i had finished he had a 44.5cm whiting slapping on the sand! looks like hes becoming a seasoned whiting fisho. this was his second whiting over the 40cm mark in the span of a week. Last thursday he caught an almost identical one at 43.5cm which weighed around 650grams (caught from the lake had him jumping for joy. Literally!). We Also got 10 others between 30-35cms and a lone salmon on one of the yabbies. Was using fresh/live beachworms and a bit of red tubing running down the leader which has a size 4 baitholder hook. the pic will be posted in catch of the month comp. cheers pk. harry.dz
Exiting stuff PK. I have been braining the Whiting also this couple of days. My biggest so far 42cm @620g,also plenty of 30-38cm. Haven't tried worming my local beach as I don't think I'll get any. Maybe I should give it a go. Good luck with the remaining run of succulent whiting. Guest rzep
I just saw the pic of the whiting PK and that is one healthy looking whiting. Well done on a good session there. Edited January 3, 2007 by rzep

arpie
Just goes to show that beach worms are the steroids of the sea! You can't beat them, especiallly given the range of fish that will take them! Well done - the big ones would have put up a good fight, too. Cheerio Roebrta
mrmoshe
Woohoo! Well done to little PK. That's one thumper whiting. You just convinced me to go down early and give 'em a lash. Toay would have been perfect but I overslept. Tomorrow for sure. Well done. Cheers, Pete.
