Marlin Action Off Botany Bay

Raiders,

As both our boats Broadbill and Billfisher prepare for the marlin season at Pt Stephens , we leave in 2 weeks for our 2.5 month migration there is still some reasonable fishing here off Sydney.I have just posted a report on the past couple of weeks on our site www.gamefishingcharters.com.au on the action Read "Fishing Reports" and "fishing stories and Hints" sections..There are acouple of real nice dollies (24kg)there as well as some marlin( Stewies going to teach me how to paste photos one day)

We have also written a yarn on Dolphin fish and best methods to catch them. It should be posted to day or to morrow.Could not fish yesterday but we are going to give it a go today Sunday, will let you know what we see.

Ross, i was on Broadbill today - Glenn is an absolute champion he tried his best to produce fish for us however we did get 6 strippies.

I know some solid fish have been caught over the last few weeks, I was just hoping to see alot more reports of Marlin and Dollies for this time of year

Glenn and John thankyou for trying your best and thanks for a fantastic day, your company and efforts were second to none.

ASSASSIN ,you neeed to put in the hours n days to get onto good fish.

How do you think the CHARTER guys get onto so many fish.

We have been offshore fishing for a while now,and you just take the good with the bad.

Last month we had a great time We did 2 outings and twice came back with good fish,

Dont give up so quickly,it will happen.

Assassin, its still early in the season! The water has not come down yet, really, at all! The baby blacks are still mainly around the gold coast! they will come down in weeks to come! They can be found in very close mostly up to 60fthms and no more. Dont despair just yet. There were a few boats hooked up today, and another short billed spear was caught from what Steve told me. Give it another month and it will be better i believe.
