Wastin Time
Hi all, Finally got a small report to write about cathcing a fish. Well the southerly that was meant for a bit later in the morning on saturday, was bloody in at 4.15am , but the guy i was going fishing with was adamant that we were going out today. To find protection we fished road to rail bridges, man it was hard. Had a friendly visit from Fisheries, & couldnt miss the SEATOW boat - man thats bright We finally got onto a couple of bream whilst drifting near the rail bridge, both went about 27cm, then that was it. So about 11ish we thought we would try under the road bridge b4 we headed back to the ramp. Thats where we finally got into some fish. Fisrt it was taylor, taylor & more taylor, then came another nice bream (26cm) then my f-in-law pulls in a nice flatty then some more bream (all small), 1 x baby snapper & another 40cm model flatty. So all in all we worked hard for 3 x bream & 2 x flatties - it was just good to get some rewards, finally!!! I only got a photo of my 2 bream as the other fish lost their heads somewhere (didnt think ppl want to see headless fish)
Mondo Rock
Great effort Roy - glad to hear that your persistence paid off!! I was going to head out on Saturday morning but saw the wather report on Friday night and called for a day's wait. Sunday was a much better day weather-wise but then we didn't catch as many fish as you did so maybe we should have gone on Saturday?!? Anyway congrats and well done.
