Guest rzep
I need to join 6lb pound braid to 8lb nylon backing and I was just wondering what would be the best knot to use. I will also need to know what knot to use for the leader. Thanks

Thanks Whats the diff between leader and backing? as far as i understand it you have the main line( usually braid or mono) followed by the leader ( mono or fluro ) which attaches to your hook, lure or sp Billy
mrsswordfisherman
Backing is the line you use to fill up your spool if you don't have a big enough spool of mainline or braid to fill it. Mainline is the line you use for your fishing situations ie: casting and fighting fish. Check out our KNOTS link also for some info. You will find the button up the top of this page on the right Cheers mrsswordfisherman
