huntman Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Hello all im currently in the process of making my live bait tank. Could somebody please tell me if I can put squid and yakkas in the same tank or do i need to serperate them? Cheers kiwi Dan depends on how big the tank is and how many of each you're putting in, and what size the squid and yakkas are. In my limited experience, I've found sometimes the yakkas will die. Also squid will kill other squid I am told, have yet to see that for myself though.
netic Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 On rare occasions i have had squid attack the yakkas, but as i said that is rare.......i dont think there is a great need to seprate them but you gotta be aware, that many squid will ink inside the tank so you gotta refresh the water very often to gt the ink out so the yakkas dont die
Penguin Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I heard that its better to seperate as the Yakkas may sh#t themselves and die penguin
Kiwi Dan Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 Thanks fellas, if you hear a maori cursing on the water that his yakkas are dead, there is a good chance it will be me. thanks again Kiwi Dan
