arpie Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 Hi guys The other half's $500 triathlon wetsuit is developing small nicks that we would like to glue shut before they become slits!! Has anyone had success with glueing 'nicks' shut? Or any other method? Ta Roberta
OWZAT Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 (edited) G`day Fellas , Robbie , A fella here , had a near miss , when dehooking a big stingray , with the Barb penetrating the thick part of the boot in his Waders , but missing his flesh. His next trip out , led to the ineviatable boot filling with water , but he patched it with his Next door neighbours Pool Repair Kit , and he swears by it. Might be a bit too heavy duty for a $500 triathlon wetsuit though !. Mick Edited May 26, 2007 by OWZAT
tryhard Posted May 26, 2007 Posted May 26, 2007 Roberta, You need to get to a Dive Shop & ask them for a product called 'Aqua Seal' - I think its called that. I have repaired many large cuts and small nicks in my dive suit, and none of the repairs have given up yet ! It used to come in a white tube with blue writing. hope that helps.
