Hi Gary,

Built plenty of rods for myself and family.

Its easy and I have saved heaps of $$ in building my own.

What sort of rod are you thinking of building?

Probably start with something cheap to practise but the ultimate goal would be a 7' spinning rod to throw big SP,s at jews and big flatties.

I was wondering if there are any reasonable local suppliers or do you get your components from the US. PM me if mentioning them breaks any forum rules.

Garyd...... I build rods as a hobby. It is great fun and there is something special about landing a big fish on a rod you crafted yourself. You also get to choose yoruu components which you can't do with a factory rolled stick.

PM on the way.....

Cheers
