Flightmanager
I have one of each , cant bear to be without either , so I take both!! If I was LB fishing , I would probably take the bag , as it has a shoulder strap. On the boat , it doesnt really matter . Ross
mottyman
guys im looking at a new tackle box bag.either a plano tackle box or a reasonable sized tackle bag what do you guys prefer? Nathan, I have a tackle bag with the clear plastic boxes that go in it. It's far better than a tackle box as I can just change the plastic boxes to suit the fishing I'm doing that day. I have far too much gear to carry all of it around so this way I can pick and choose what I want to take for the day. It holds 6 clear boxes plus plastics, and everything else I need for a day on the water. I also have a back pack for the times I go landbased and don't want to take the bigger bag. This one just holds one or two boxes of lures, jig heads and my plastics, leader material, siscors, plyers, drink, sunscreen, insect repellant etc etc etc. Prior to this system I had a big plano box so I've used both. The bags are so much more practical for me. Hope that helps. David.
Evets
Yep, Mottyman has summed it all up for me as well. Cant beat a well stocked bag. Take only the gear you need and leave the rest at home Evets

I might be going for a downrigging session for kings and see some tailor busting up....then i need my metals....or vice versa...you never know what your gonna see...i have been out live baiting and saw a mako...thank god i carry all my stuff and i had a wire trace rig ready to go... On the water you never know whats gonna happen and you wanna have your gear with you when it does happen so if a one in a life time catch cruises past you your prepared

johnno
As far as SP i have seen wallets that fit the bags, also i have seen guys use bumbags that are designed for it also.
Davy
As above have mentioned. Shoulder bag for all around general fishing (with a little tackle box for hooks etc inside) Don't generally use the piano tackle boxes as im boatless atm. but i assume they would be hand on a boat. Little bumbags i use while lure fishing and beach fishing. for the beach its very useful as it holds premade rigs and whatnot, so u dont have to walk back to ur bag to get stuff. as well as a little bait bucket strapped to u this is a very handy combination!!
