Drop Shots

hi guys just wondering if our 7' drop shots spooled with 6lb fireline will be ok in mackay

i hope so as we landed some nice jewies and flathead in the hawkesbury with them

For smaller species the 6lb fireline is plenty, have fun up there, the weather would be perfect right now :thumbup:

thanx mate heading up there for 12 months or so working looking forward to having a go at some estuary fishing up there i have been told that it is good fishing there all year around so fingers crossed

I spend sometime up around Gladstone which has similar fishing to Mackay The smaller outfits we use for fish such as blue salmon javelin fish estuary cod queenfish and various trevally species which are the fish you are most likely to catch in the estuarys are 1.8-2.2m 3-5kg and 4-6kg rods 4000 size spinning reels and 4-7kg fireline These outfits will also handle the school and spotty mackeral if you get outside
