Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone new where I could get a cheap or 2nd hand boat trailer?

My trailer is fairly rusty and needs a little work. Id be better off trying to trade this on the purchase of a new one if its possible. So if anyones knows anywhere good to go some advice it would be much appreicated.

My boat is a 4.66m Aluminium Dehaviland.

Cheers

Dan

Hi Dan

I would be interested as well, my trailer is ok but i want to upgrade to bigger wheels as i tow ALOT, and it is not viable to modify. Try Huey he gave me some advise re trailers recently. I think he stocks Stacer trailers and another.

Hi Dan, what is cheap? I have stock of what I call cheap braked alloy trailers for $1950 plus regos. I am not sure if that is what you call cheap. Be aware mate that with the laws now requiring brakes over 750KG BMT weight I think you would be best off looking for a braked trailer by the time you boat is weighed down with the gear boaters have.

The cheapest unbraked trailer would be still $1700 new, so for the extra I would be going braked and then you would have the worry if you have an accident that the rig might be overweight for an unbraked trailer.

Cheers,

Huey.
