gone_wishin
Sorry, no idea. Does it really matter? you already have the boat, I'm sure the economy will be better than you expect.

netic
Mate take it out for a spin and then you can gauge its ecomony, it will have good economy but most of us just test it out then we know...pretty simple
a boat
Hi, if you have the digital tacho with fuel flow / fuel usage / fuel gauge and engine hours built into it and then it will be easy to tell. From our experience we are seeing a cruising fuel economy of about 15L/Hr at around 3000-3500 RPM, while at idle below 1L/hr. Just make sure you have the correct pitched Viper prop on it and at WOT you are reaching 5600-5700 and you will be fine. Also I hope where you got it they are up to speed and have put in the latest and greatest map and have pre-delivered the engine correctly and you are running XD-100 oil. Also make sure you have at least 675CCA battery WITHOUT wingnuts. Enjoy your new boat, Cheers, Huey.

gone_wishin
The drug runner who owned that boat had no issues with economy, he just sold more drugs!

slothe
would it be a good idea to put hydrolic steering on my motor barcrusher 560 with etec
lighthouse2k
I got a 15 and I would definately put hydraulic on it. I haven't got it and it sucks. You will probably end up upgrading anyway! Chris
a boat
Good Morning, the 115HP E-TEC will be on par with any other clean 115HP on the market in terms of fuel economy. I have many performance reports from the major manufcatures that shows on the same boat a 115HP E-TEC at idle is better on fuel because of the stratified fuel charge it runs while at cruising RPM the fuel economy is similar, but the E-TEC will be doing 500RPM less for that same speed and at WOT the fuel economy is also line ball but with the E-TEC you will be going faster. The fact is that the cost of owning a 115HP E-TEC when servicing costs , oil and fuel are all thrown in will be a cheaper engine to own than any similar HP 4-Stroke. On the subject of Hydraulic steering any good brand of boat over 5.5M should really come STD with that, if not than get yourself a good quality bull horn or front mount system installed and it will be the best $1000 odd uyou will ever spend on the boat. Just my 2 cents worth and if anyone would like copies of these reports I mentione than please PM and I can fax them to you. Cheers, Huey.
