bobfish
Hey Raiders, Ive recently bought a new spinning outfit for the coming kingie season, but I have no idea what plastics to equip myself with. I know surface poppers are sometimes the go and some softies work too but im after the specific types. So it would be great if the king pro's out there could rate your top five kingie lures, so I can get amongst em asap! Thanks in advance guys, Bobfish Edited October 13, 2007 by bobfish

bobfish
Thanks Iceman, the rapalas look the goods. Can you cast them ok? Ceph. How do you find the hook-up rate on those flick baits? Do you only rig them with the one hook?
davester28
these have worked for me: slug-go 6" or 9", colour albino shad, ice shad, salt & pepper blue phantom, salt & pepper silver phantom mojo twitchin minnow 6.5" gulp jerk shad 5" and 7" poppers and stickbaits have also been known to take their share of fish, but i haven't tried them yet
Andy Loops
The rapala cd's are a great little number - what size do you guys use for Kings? We use the 7s and 9s for Tailor so I imagine you would go a bit bigger for Kings?? Also, do you troll these around or cast/retrieve them? We find there isnt really enough weight to manage a decent cast even with the cd9's.
bmar560
I like the 4" Berkley Bass minnows.. or the 3" depending on what they're feeding on.
