mrmoshe
Fishing ban lifted for SE lake Fishing is to be allowed on Lake George in the south-east of South Australia for the first time in since 1999. Fisheries Minister Rory McEwen says a moratorium will be lifted on Friday. He says a survey found fish stocks had increased in the lake, north of Beachport. In 1999, the water quality in the lake deteriorated, causing fish to die. Large stocks of yellow-eye mullet were caught during a survey of fish numbers in Lake George back in August.
