james7
This report is for my mate (Pick-a-box) Syd and Raider (German) Peter who went out today from Port Hacking. I wish I could have gone. I hate missing a chance to go fishing! Syd said they tried off Jibbon and Cronulla for zilch, but picked up a salmon trolling when they noticed some bait on the surface. Unfortunately, Syd’s still cursing because he dropped this ‘huge’ salmon at the boat. He reckons it must have been over a metre long. They then moved off Kurnell to about 50m and picked up the small mowie, three flatties and a big jacket. The drift was very quick because of the wind and they needed a fair amount of lead to hold bottom. The salmon pictured was caught at the mouth of the Hacking trolling on the way home. Cheers Edited October 20, 2007 by peterS
