Salmon.

Hi Chris

Do you know the recipe for Wood Duck??? :insane: If not, get your self a house brick, place the brick in a pot along with your salmon fillets and cook until the salmon is cooked through. Then throw out the salmon and eat the brick!!!

Seriously, you've got to bleed the fish on capture and eat it fresh. Most methods of cooking are acceptable but baking or frying is probably the best. Remember there are much better fish to eat in the ocean but few a fun to catch!!!

Cheers

Hi Chris......

not sure if its in the kitchen with a recipe or not...

but the humble salmon lends its self quite nicely to fishcakes.....

may that be thai style or whatever.....its eatable done that way....

it saves on house bricks as well....

Cheers Warnie....

Spot on Chriso 87,

IMHO this is by far the best method of preparing your salmon for the table.

First make sure you remove the bloodline, so you just have white flesh fillets.

Then, as the flesh is course, strong flavoured and dries out easily, as Chriso says, put plenty of lemon, onion, tomato and parsley with it for flavour, and then enclose in aluminum foil to seal in the moisture before slow baking in the oven. Beautiful.

You will then be able to chuckle and smirk when the "experts" pronounce that salmon aren't any good to eat.

Regards,

Bob
