johnno Posted October 24, 2007 Share Posted October 24, 2007 (edited) hi Yockman to have both is very difficult as most rod have a backbone, the blank only bends nice one way the other will break. Now in saying that i have heard that there is a rod that don,t have a backbone. Also the difference in a over head rod the first guide /3rd guide is normally smaller so if you are running a threadline reel it chokes the line into the first runner if it,s to small,and casting will be effected and line tension will be on the first runner.
