OWZAT
G`day Fellas , Well I spooled the new overhead reel with 20Lb line and headed for the sand. The wind was a blustery 15 Knotter ,and I just knew I was not going to last. Bumped into one of the locals who I hadn`t seen for some time , so we had a chat for a while , and as expected , because of the wind , he had caught nothing. My Boy arrived at about Six PM , and we Fished together with me being bitten off twice. Its been 20 years since I used an overhead , but after a doubble header Bunch of grapes , and cutting away about 60 odd yards of excess line ( overspooled it ) the knack returned , and then it became a casting comp between me and the boy which he just barely won. But By 7.30 , the wind had done me in , and I retired on a TKO , but I was over the moon with the way I performed after such a long break. Well , as usual , at about 12.30 came the rat a tat tat on the door , and the big grin said it all . Four fish , and all clones of each other , I called them for 12 LB , but we were both so tired , he just pulled the two from the bag and I took a shot of them , and to be perfectly honest , I just could not be bothered weighing or measuring them . And no way was I going to handle Jewfish at this hour for a detailed photo shoot , and I also didn`t fancy dcrubbing like buggery under the shower for an hour to get rid of the smell either. I`m keen to go again tonight , and if the wind allows me , I may just stay a bit longer . Mick
