Albacore And Yellowfin Everywhere

Hi Raiders,

Having just returned from our Dunbogan trip and then to Tassie for a couple of weeks there has been no time to keep you abreast of what's happening on our boats Broadbill and Billfisher Sorry about that.

We have had some of the best days on albys and small fin that I have seen for ten years. I had all but given up on the albies, but here they are back bigger than ever. The fish have been up to 14kg but averaging around 8 to 10. Most caught trolling bib less minnows and small jet heads. They are a great sport on light tackle.

We have caught our limit on these the past few trips They are my favourite eating fish certainly leaving yellowfin for dead. We have caught them all north of Browns 6 mile and a few miles wider and north of the Stanwell Park Canyons.
