abiasin
Hi All, quick report from the weekend where i was on a bux weekend and got the chance to head out to the banks and then out wide to chase YFT. well we didnt even turn a reel, there were millions of birds at the banks but wernt doing anything. another boat we were out with had a double hookup on jellybeans only landing one. from the banks we headed wide on the troll and nothing was caught, we then cubed for nothing again. i dont think im destined to catch tuna, been out a few times for sweet bugger all. Whilst at the banks we spotted a small marlin cruising by the boat riding the waves before dissappearing never to be seen again. maybe next time we may turn a reel. lukeric
Hi KTID, Unlucky about the lack of fish. How far out were you guys? The fish from Kiama to JB are quite wide at the moment, there is a temp break at about 300 -500 fathoms, this is where the fish seem to be.There were reports of tuna to 76kg taken off JB on Thursday. Good to see the marlin starting to show up. Cheers Luke.
