roosterman Posted November 9, 2007 Share Posted November 9, 2007 (edited) hi guys i have got some of those fish style bombs saltrix was making and was wondering where you clip release clip... i have heard that they wobble and stuff so was wondering how you guys use them and what you think.... i will clip them on rear ring and watch how they swim.... was not real reliable where i heard that they wobble etc so was just wondering.... tomahawk1999 Posted November 10, 2007 Share Posted November 10, 2007 G'day Roosterman, I don't use release clips, I use a short length of 150lb jinkai crimped to the rear ring of the bomb with a BB snap swivel on the end. I then twist a rubber band onto my main line and put the 2 ends of the band into the snap. When you get a strike the band breaks and you are free to fight the fish. Robbielites Posted November 10, 2007 Share Posted November 10, 2007 Hi Mate, Rod's way is a good way of doing it, there are a couple of others that I can think of. I personall attach the clip to an eyelet in the tail and that works fine for me. Other people swear that you should attach it to the main line not the bomb.
