Unweighed Gulp Shrimp. Poor Hook Up Rates

Any advice on how to rig these unweighed. I've tried fishing them with the gamakatsu worm hooks but the hook up rate is really poor but I get a lot more hits then when I have an ultra light jig head on em.

Trying a single hook, resin jighead or a drop shot hook the action is skewed and it often circles and glides upside downon the retrieve.

Anti-carp,

I use a gamakatsu 1/32 weight jig head the right size for your plastic, and trim down the lead weight until there is just enough lead to hold it upright, and assist in casting. Hope it works for you,
