Penguin
Hi Raiders, With our trip out wide cancelled today, I took a mate and my 5yr old son out on the bay this arvo for a quick sesh instead. We launched at penrhyn ramp at around 1.30pm, and cruised around the bay looking for a fishy looking spot out of the wind. We found one after a while that we liked and we dropped anchor and settled back to enjoy a relaxing arvo on the water.Well it was very relaxing for the 1st 30mins, and then, the next 2hrs all hell broke loose as we had double and sometimes triple hook ups.The Trevs came in thick and fast, no time to think, have a drink, and very hard to even bleed our kept fish, as every time a bait hit the water it was hit within seconds. We probably boated around 30 odd Trevs and released half, My son boated 4 Trevs 3 Flatties (2 released), he also landed (with help) the biggest Trev 46cm. A police boat motored over to us and politely asked us to move 20mtrs to the west. We packed our gear and set off for home instead, we were happy with our results. penguin Our kept fish My sons 46cm Trev Edited November 11, 2007 by penguin

Waynie the Carpinator Just a touch too close to the oil wharf the copper said. I looked around at a couple of other boats that were closer than us, and a tinny that was only 30metres from the end of it, and I was about to say "what about the them", Instead I just shrugged my shoulders and said," We r goin home now", I didnt wana ruin some one elses fishing, and we had caught enough, so back to the ramp we went.Happy but a little confused as to why us. penguin
