frankp
Im looking to do a browns trip on the weekend if the weather stays good and just need some info on what lures to use. We have some big skirts but with the fish being on the smaller side wanted to see what else could be used.

sanger
Hey mate what warnie said was sound advice.... we have had pretty much all sizes in our spread over the last few weeks except for the real big stuff, the little 6inchers were getting to many stripies and not enough of anything else so we changed to some bigger bcf and pakula lures. We've had hits on everything up to a medium sprocket size which from memory is about 12 inches (please someone correct me if im wrong). As for colour the bright day bright colour dark day dark colour theory has been working for us but they havent been realy picky on any of our recent trips. Trolling speed for us has been 8-7 knots depending on the conditions of course! Hope that helps get you onto a few!!!!!
warnie
medium sprocket size which from memory is about 12 inches (please someone correct me if im wrong). Pretty dam close there fishlexic 11" (280mm) the smaller size lure though frank 8.75 (220mm) is not to be underestimated.... as it is close to the size of most small schooling baitfish and therefore more likely to match the hatch as they say.... and hopefully raise the interest of a better sized class of fish that you are chasing......or quite possibly a billfish how good would that be !!!!!!!!! Cheers Warnie.....
