Penn/silstart Combo

Hi all

I hava a combo i put together 10 years ago but have never used, it is a penn levelmatic 940 takes 225yds/12lb 4:1 retrieve weight 11.5lb with a Silstar 561CAM 5'6" 1pce Medium 4 - 6kg Baitcast rod.

Is this set up way to small to have a go at some Kings? Never fished for them before and dont want to spend a fortune before i try.

It will be a bit sporting of you!!!

The lightest we go for Kings is 20lb braid on 4000 sized shimano reels with 3-6kg rods. This is okay for just legals but the hoods will smoke you.

My Stella does about 180 metres of 20lb Platil braid plus mono backing. This is all you need for Kings.. they don't tend to run a long way, just straight into the nearest reef or structure.
