jewgaffer
ozdownunder. We have a member sponsor Phil Bennett who is a writer for Modern and lives up at SWR. You may be able to send Phil a pm for an up to date on what's happening up there at the moment. However check with admin first. The wall at SWR near the river mouth is a top jew spot for your main preference looking at your post and a drive down to Hat Head, if you're experienced in rock fishing will get you to top jew rock fishing territory. In fact being so relatively close to the shelf, Hat Head is a rock hoppers game fish haven but mind you it's a pretty dangerous area all the same. jewgaffer

ozdownunder
G,day ozdownunder, I just got back from Forster and there braining the flatties near the bridge. If your'e prepared to drive South it may well be worth it. Also there is alot of guys fishing the Tuncurry breakwall, one can only assume the jewies are on. Cheers Esky6 Sorry but I have a long faithful love affair with the rocks. Your Forster trip sounded great. Phil Bennett
G'day Ozdownunder, Things are starting to heat up here at SWR's, with cobia putting in an appearence on the close in reefs, rocks and even in the river. Jewfish ave been painfully slow in the river for a few weeks now, but I suspect with the small fresh heading down after the week of rain the jewies should fire up again. Tops spot for the shore-based angler is the South Wall (as Jewgaffer pointed out), and should be your first point of call if you're keen to find jewfish. There's also plenty of bream and some big flathead there, just fish the tidal changes and you should find a few co-operative fish. Hope this helps. Cheers Phil
