Trailer Bearing Protection Systems

Hi All,

Summers on it's way and trailer maintenance is on the forefront before hitting the water.

I have done some research on two different bearing protection systems, the oil bath (Durahub) and the grease pressure (Bearing Buddy).

I was wondering if anyone has used any particular system and has any opinions 'for and against' each system.

I have also heard people get these systems stolen? Therefore, is one system more theifproof than the other??

The durahub you fit with Locktite which would slow thieves down. The buddies are so cheap now i doubt whether they are such a hot item to nick?

Bearing Buddies are the way to go, the oil bath thing is not a good bullet proof system as on long trips oil heats up and can cook bearings.

The grease system is the way to go.
