Applications For Stradic 8000?

Hey guys i just recieved a stradic 8000 as a gift (the white one)

i originally asked for a 2500 but my uncle from the states (he bought me the gift)

decided that bigger was better .....

its too much of a hassle to send it back so ive decided t keep it but not sure

where to use it and what to target...

im mainly landbased estuary and alot of rock hopping

so i ws presuming to use it off the rocks

what are my boundarys with using this reel off the rocks?

also is there a big difference with the new model stradic and the older one?

They are good reels. The 8000 has the same size body as the 6000, but with a bigger spool. I use mine(not the new model) for spinning off the rocks and target bonnies, salmon, rat kings with it. Fits a heaps of braid on it and makes a great 10kilo class reel. You could also use it for jewies as well in estuary areas. Ive never had any problems with it. I wouldnt be using it for jigging, but for light line spinning they work a treat and I wouldnt be sending it back.

might be harsh but.....sell it and get what you really want/need.( does it have sentimental value cause your uncle gave it to you ? )

Ive got stradics in 5000,6000 and 8000 and have given them absolute hell and they have taken it very well, imho a very underated reel and a reel (haha) bargain thesedays.
