gw77
Hi All, Just wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where to fish around the Hawkesbury at the moment? Thanks ; )
Guest bluecod
gw77, Sorry mate, I haven't fished land based Hawkesbury for years - there are a few spots that could be worth a try such as Long Island, McKell Park at Brooklyn, Kangaroo Point next to the road bridge, or you could hike down to Flint and Steel from West Head Road. All the best.

Guest bluecod
gw77, Flint and Steel - take your pick! The beach at F&S is only small, but in the right conditions can hold good bream & flatties OR off the rocks at the point could produce just about anything, including your live bait. F&S land based can get a few people on it [not unusual]. Good
patl
just with getting live bait at the moment..........I have founb that the bait jigs are outfishing bait at them moment, with liberal doses of burley of course. Not so much outcathcing but catching the right things..... The main reason is that there is a heap of mados, sweep, butterfish and other garbage around, and bait is catching too many of these, whilst the jigs tend to catch yakkas and slimys
