landbased
Hey all, Just got back from a morning/ early arvo fish at Gunamatta baths. all up 4 keeper whiting as that is what I was targeting. I do have to say that when those litle witing get a bit bigger they do fight a bit . bait was sand worm pieces. sizes are: 2x 32cm 1x39cm and 1 at 44.5cms (I think thats a record ) also weighed in at 1400gms. needless to say taht is the biggest sand whiting ive ever caught. will post pics when i can figure out how to get from phone . squidlips
1400 grams is a serious whiting mate. I was googling Australian Records, and there is a page that held records up until 2004/2005. http://www.aaawa.iinet.net.au/NationalAAAFishingRecords.html The whiting record was 1.025KG from the Georges River. Your fish must of had serious obesity problems. ; ) Well done mate
