Max Towing Capacity

Hi All,

I was wondering... when a manufacturer says a vehicle has a specific max towing capacity does this include the weight of the trailer or is it merely what is on the trailer???

i am pretty sure its the whole mass that the vehicle can tow. i.e boat, motor, trailer and accessories.
