Hey everyone just wanted to know what the cooks river is like for fishing and what type of fish are usually found in there??

Cheers Chris

:1fishing1:

You will get most estuary species in the Cooks at times :biggrin2: and trevally as well when the water cools down.

hey thanks, also what baits and is it really worth trying??

Cheers Chris

The humble prawn as fresh as you can get with minimal amounts of lead and live nippers would be a good start.

Soft plastics and harbodies are good if you have access to a boat.

There are good fish to be caught in there but I wouldnt eat them if you are after a feed ,better to try elsewhere as the waterway has copped a hard life from pollution :(

Cheers Stewy
