Sharks Cause Beach Closure

Fingal Beach was evacuated today right on high tide, I could hear the sirens right on 3pm.

Next door neighbour had to get her kids out of the water and come home, she said large sharks were chasing schools of salmon. Well done to the lifesavers who quickly took hold of the situation by pulling people out the back into the rubber duckies , the spotters were assisted by the helicopter.

I was going fishing myself at 3pm but large crowds forced me to wait till tonight. I thought the fish would come in on the high tide but not to that extent.

did you end up catching any of the sharks, must have been a few around for them to close the beach

No the sharks and salmon were gone by the time i went fishing, Iwas after jew but didnt get any , lots of stud whiting being caught by the bloke next to me but
