Davemmm
Had a brief session this morning out on Botany Bay. Fishing with nippers I pulled in a handful of whiting drifting along the brighton area. Most of the whiting were around the 30cm mark with one going close to 40cm and four or five throw backs. Just on dawn though i was reeling in what I think was a small whiting, halfway to the boat it got smashed by a run that nearly pulled the rod out of my hand and quickly busted off my four pound trace. About an hour later I was packing up to go and had just finished cleaning my fish (bearing in mind that I was cleaning them by leaning over the side of the tinney brushing out their gut cavity and throwing gut and gill overboard) when a small shark swam under the boat. Scared a strange brown substance out of me! By the time I quickly wiped my hands and grabbed the camera out of the front of the boat all I got was this blurry shot. I think he may have been the bugger that scored a free feed. Dave

Should have sacrificed another whiting on a bigger hook and have him pull you around on a tour of the bay I caught a 1.8 metre hammer head last weekend in Port stevens it was my first shark and couldn't believe how strong they were we chased him around for twenty minutes or so. Let him go to fight another day and steal more fishoes catches . Did you see what type of shark he was? Cheers and great pic, Joe
